     1.He brought the family to Canada arriving in Halifax December 29, 1913 on board the vessel Potsdam. They departed from Rotterdam in the Netherlands. In the ships manifest their destination was shown as Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, but a family history detailed in the book Our heritage recalled : Prelate, Saskatchewan, 1908-1990 page 268, they arrived in Prussia (now know as Leader, Saskatchewan) on January 16, 1913. In the manifest their religion was shown as Roman Catholic.
