     1. Obituary: BARGE - Vernie Marion, Born on February 22, 1914 Ardkenneth, Saskatchewan.
Mom passed away peacefully at 2:30 a.m. in Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta on April 14, 2008. Mom has gone to join Harvey, her loving husband of sixty-eight years and her eldest son Vernon. I am sure that anyone who knew her would agree that she was a very special person. We, her children, have always counted our blessings and appreciated how very lucky we were to be born into Mom and Dad's family. Mom was so proud of her family and loved being a grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She Taught us right from wrong, responsibility, respect for others. Her love of music was very strong and she made many sacrifices to make sure all her five children had music lessons and the best instruments available. There was always room in her home and at her table for friends and family. Mom leaves behind to remember all the good times; Sandra and Gary of Grande Cache, AB, Gordon and Jody of Calgary, AB, Ron and Shirley of Calgary, AB and Myron and Lynne of Youbou, BC. She also leaves sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. The circle of life continues as Mom has a great great-great-grandchild due on April 18. Our Mom will always be with us as any of the above draw a breath. Right now Mom is dancing with Papa, singing at the top of her lungs, clapping both hands to the music. We love you Nanny, see you later. There will be no Service at this but a gathering of family and friends will be announced at a later date.
